Traicyn Todd Frisby

Traicyn Todd Frisby

Loving, adventurous, funny, smart, and amazing.

Known for his humor, adventurous spirit, and deep love for his family and friends, Traicyn was truly the life of the party—a funny, loving man, and an amazing father, brother, son, and grandson. From a young age, Traicyn shared a special bond with his sister, LeiJai. They created their own special hug, where Traicyn would leap into her arms, provide a hug, then be flipped upside down and backward, landing with a laugh. Unlike many siblings who don’t want their younger siblings around, they went everywhere together, shared the same friends, and stood by each other through everything. This closeness remained through adulthood. LeiJai was the first to know when Traicyn’s former wife was pregnant and was in the room when their first baby boy was born.

Traicyn was passionate about welding, trucks, and spending time with his boys and siblings who he loved to tease. Entirely self-taught, he became an excellent welder, working in the oil fields for four years. His natural talent, determination, and ability to figure anything out were some of his greatest strengths. He dreamed of starting his own welding company and was proud to have been accepted to WyoTech Trade School, although life led him down a different path when he became a father.

If you had the privilege of meeting Traicyn, even for a moment, you loved him. His vibrant personality, his kindness, and his deep love for his boys made him unforgettable. The birth of his two sons, Noah, and Zaydyn, were the most cherished events of his life. Traicyn adored his boys and would have given anything to ensure they had everything they needed. His love for them was profound and unwavering.

Traicyn’s greatest gift was his ability to make others feel seen and loved. Even through his own struggles, he could lift the spirits of those around him with a word, a smile, or a joke that left you laughing until you couldn’t breathe. He had a rare intuition—he could sense when something was wrong just by looking at you. “Traicyn pushed me to be a better person,” LeiJai stated. “He helped me get over the fear of starting college.”

Although Traicyn battled addiction for two years, it never changed the heart of who he was. His family saw him as the same loving, funny, and brilliant person he had always been and at first didn’t see him struggling. He was good at hiding his substance use. By the time they found out about it, they thought it was in the past and believed he was in recovery. His sister still wonders why he didn’t tell her about his addiction and ask her to help.

Traicyn’s loss is a profound one. His family and friends—including his siblings Dayna, Amanda, Tique, and Daniel, his best friends Sam and Kalex, his parents, Shauna, and Adam, step mother Debbi, and “bonus parents, Gene and Malynda—carry his memory with them every day.

Traicyn’s sister, LeiJai Hadlock, provided the information for this narrative.

Justin Brown

Beloved musician, gone too soon An empathic, selfless, and loving individual, Justin Brown had a heart of gold. A softie with a goofy, nerdy soul, he was always laughing, writing lyrics and poems, or spending time outside fishing, hunting, and hiking. Strumming and humming came naturally to him—he had a natural aptitude for music and could play a song on the bass guitar by ear. One of nine siblings, Justin stood out for his sensitivity, openness, and gratitude, with impeccable manners and sweetness to spare.[...]
